Hello Parents!
Here in the next few weeks I will be starting a fun unit with kids on how to make presentations online. It will be a sort of show and tell for the kids to play around and have fun with! I am attaching my Jing presentation that I created on Best Practices for digital storytelling if you are curious and would like to watch it.

Over the years I have come across numerous blogs that I think can be helpful for first-time kindergarten parents. If you are interested please feel free to take a look at them in your free time!
Kindergarten & Preschool for Parents & Teachers is a lovely blog that has some very good insight on what to expect for your child throughout their kindergarten year. Kindergarten Crayons is a great blog for giving parents a good idea about activities that they can do with their children at home to help them with key concepts that they will be taught in my classroom. As the Thanksgiving holiday gets closer, I wanted to take the time to thank all of you for everything that you have done for me. I am more than thankful for all the books you have purchased for me from my wishlist. I also want to thank those of you who come and volunteer in my classroom. It's always a great thing to see parents involved in their children's' school lives. Just a quick reminder, we will have no school on Thanksgiving and we will also be out from school that Friday, the 25th as well. I wish you all a safe, happy, and blessed Thanksgiving!
Don't forget, our canned food drive is coming soon! This is a school-wide event and we, as a school, have a goal of collecting 5,000 canned goods! All the canned goods are going to one of the local homeless shelters so that they can have a great and blessed Thanksgiving! We are accepting any kind of canned goods. However, before sending the food in with your child, please make sure that the expiration date isn't nearing soon. We, as a school, appreciate all the donations that are given and we are hoping to reach our goal. Thank you in advance for your contributions!
